The change in leadership came after criticism from Bohdan Krotevych, the chief of staff of the Azov brigade, who accused an unnamed general of causing harm to Ukrainian soldiers through incompetent management. Speculation in the media suggests that Krotevych was referring to Sodol, leading to his replacement. Zelenskyy did not elaborate on the reasons for the change, but it is clear that he is aiming to ensure effective leadership in the face of Russia’s aggressive actions.
