Country music star Morgan Wallen was caught on surveillance footage allegedly throwing a chair off the rooftop of a Nashville bar, narrowly missing police officers on the ground. Wallen was arrested and booked into Davidson County jail on charges of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. This incident is not the first time Wallen has found himself in trouble with the law after a night out in Nashville, as he was previously arrested for intoxication and disorderly conduct and DUI.

The blurry surveillance clip obtained by TMZ shows an object flying over the roof of Chief’s Bar and plummeting to the street below. The chair landed just three feet away from Metropolitan Nashville Police officers. Wallen’s bond was set at $15,250, which he posted, and he was released from jail in the early hours of the morning. His attorney confirmed that Wallen was cooperating fully with authorities.

Witnesses at the bar claimed that Wallen laughed after the chair-throwing incident and arrest. Wallen has faced public backlash before, notably after he was caught using a racial slur in a video recorded by his neighbors in Nashville. In response to the incident, Wallen issued an apology and admitted that there was no excuse for his actions. Despite these controversies, his music career persists, with hits like “Whiskey Glasses” and “Last Night.”

Wallen’s court date for the recent incident is set for May 3 in Davidson County Criminal Court. This is not the first time he has faced legal trouble, as he was previously charged with DUI in 2016, though the case was ultimately dismissed. Following the incident at Chief’s Bar, Wallen’s representatives were reached out to for comment but have not responded. The country singer has a history of partying and reckless behavior in Nashville, as evidenced by his previous arrests and controversial incidents.

Despite the challenges and controversies he has faced, Morgan Wallen continues to be a prominent figure in the country music scene. His run-ins with the law have not tarnished his career significantly, as he remains popular among fans for hits like “Somebody’s Problem” and “Wasted on You.” While the chair-throwing incident at Chief’s Bar may have raised eyebrows, Wallen’s music continues to resonate with audiences, and he remains a successful and influential figure in the country music industry. Wallen’s future in the industry remains to be seen as he navigates the consequences of his actions and continues to stay in the spotlight for his music as well as his personal behavior.
