Logic is a new startup founded by Seattle-based engineers Steve Krenzel and Jess Garms, which aims to assist companies in integrating AI into their workflows through leveraging internal knowledge and business documents. With over four decades of combined experience in the technology industry, Krenzel and Garms have worked at prominent companies such as Brex, Lyft, Salesforce, and Twitter. The startup has raised $4.3 million from investors including Founders’ Co-op, Audacious, and Ali Partovi’s Neo, among others.

By enabling companies to upload documents that outline their business requirements and processes, Logic analyzes these documents to create APIs powered by large language models. This allows companies to automate internal processes by implementing protocols described in the documents without the need for vast engineering resources. The platform also allows for easy editing and modification of these documents by anyone, not just engineers, providing flexibility and control over business logic.

Logic seeks to be the central repository for all business logic, focusing on easily repeatable business actions to avoid complex multi-step workflows. The startup aims to address the challenge of making large language models (LLMs) useful beyond information retrieval and content generation by enabling companies to create reliable AI-powered business automations. With various LLM-powered tools being introduced by tech giants and startups, Logic stands out by offering a solution that is easy to use and does not require human intervention for millions of repetitive actions.

The funding round for Logic was completed in less than a week, showcasing the demand for the startup’s innovative approach to integrating AI into business processes. Krenzel and Garms have a history of working together, with Krenzel previously co-founding Thinkfuse, which was acquired by Salesforce, and Garms leading the Seattle office for Salesforce. Both engineers have a deep understanding of what it takes to build successful tech products, with Krenzel’s experience in podcasting startups and leading LLM-related efforts at Brex, and Garms’ background in engineering at companies like Lyft.

With just four employees, Logic has already moved into a new office in Seattle’s Pioneer Square neighborhood, reflecting the team’s strong bond and enthusiasm for working together. The startup’s focus on creating AI-powered business automations that are reliable and easy to use positions it as a valuable resource for businesses looking to streamline their operations. By leveraging existing internal knowledge and business documents, Logic empowers companies to automate processes and make use of the power of AI in a user-friendly and efficient manner.
