Vem Miller, a Nevada filmmaker and Republican activist, was arrested on weapons charges outside of Donald Trump’s rally in California. The local sheriff accused him of attempting to kill the former president, which has led Miller to fear for his life and go into hiding. Miller, a staunch Trump supporter, has been working to get the 45th president back into the White House.

Following his arrest, Miller filed a lawsuit against Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco, alleging that the sheriff fabricated allegations of an assassination attempt against Trump. Despite being released on a $5,000 bond, Miller’s car and equipment remain impounded, and he is currently living in an undisclosed location. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department did not respond to a request for comment regarding the allegations made by Miller.

Despite the brief jail stay and the attention he has received from his arrest, Miller remains calm and collected. He expressed concerns about possible attempts on his life should he return to Las Vegas, where his family still resides. After an unannounced visit to his parents’ home by Las Vegas police, Miller’s fears of retaliation have only increased.

Miller, who ran as a Republican for a state assembly seat two years ago, was attending the Trump event with authorization from the Nevada GOP when he was arrested. The Riverside sheriff accused him of having forged press passes and VIP tickets to the event. Miller is part of the Trump Force 47 swing state program and has a long history of supporting Trump and the GOP.

The lawsuit filed by Miller seeks compensatory and general damages, as well as punitive damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. Miller expressed his hesitation to attend further Trump events despite his commitment to the campaign, citing fears that someone may attempt to harm him as a “favor” to the former president. Overall, Miller’s ordeal has brought international attention to his AmericaHappens.com video service and garnered thousands of views of his video statements about the arrest.
