At a crucial point in the Russia-Ukraine war, mines have emerged as a key technology shaping battlefield outcomes. The recent American aid package to Ukraine includes 10,000 Remote Anti-Armor Mine Systems (RAAMS), providing the Ukrainian forces with much-needed artillery-delivered mines. Each RAAMS round contains nine anti-tank mines within a 155mm artillery shell, allowing for long-distance deployment of minefields up to 17 kilometers away.
