Two British Columbia residents were recently honored by the police for their brave actions in helping a British couple escape their partially submerged vehicle. Mark and Janet Brimicombe, tourists visiting the province in June 2022, found themselves in a life-threatening situation when their vehicle left the road and ended up in a creek near Cache Creek. The Brimicombes were injured and the water was rapidly filling up their vehicle, putting them in a precarious situation.
