A man and a woman were arrested in connection with an assault on actor Ian Ziering on New Year’s Eve in Hollywood. The incident involved a group of people on minibikes and occurred in the 6800 block of Hollywood Boulevard. The assault and car vandalism altercation escalated when Ziering exited his car, leading to a physical confrontation. Videos posted on social media captured part of the incident, which helped investigators identify the suspects involved in the attack.

The LAPD executed search warrants at two Los Angeles-area residences, resulting in the arrests of 20-year-old Jacob Esteban Hernandez and 40-year-old Angie Teresa Guizar. Hernandez was booked on suspicion of felony vandalism, with a bail set at $50,000, while Guizar was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, with a bail set at $30,000. The case will be presented to the county prosecutor’s office to determine the charges against the suspects. It was not immediately clear whether they have attorneys, and jail records did not indicate an initial court date.

Ziering, known for his roles in “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Sharknado,” was stuck in traffic with one of his young daughters when the minibike riders approached aggressively. The altercation escalated, and Ziering had to protect himself during the physical confrontation. Although neither he nor his daughter sustained serious injuries, the minibikers vandalized his vehicle after the assault took place. The incident was reported to the police, leading to the subsequent investigation and arrests of Hernandez and Guizar.

Witnesses provided information, and videos posted on social media helped investigators identify the suspects involved in the assault and vandalism. At least one video showed someone swinging an object at Ziering, narrowly missing him. After the incident, Hernandez and Guizar were taken into custody, and the case will be reviewed by the county prosecutor’s office to determine the charges against them. Anyone with information about the assault and vandalism was urged to contact Hollywood Division Detective Douglass Hall at 213-972-2971.
