Last week, NFL quarterback Tom Brady was the subject of Netflix’s “Greatest Roast of All Time,” where he was the target of jokes from comedians, former teammates, and others. Brady seemed to enjoy most of the jokes, but there was one off-limits joke that resulted in an awkward moment with comedian Jeff Ross. Overall, it was a fun night for Brady and the other participants at the Forum in Inglewood, California. However, Brady later revealed on The Pivot Podcast that he regretted participating in the roast for one main reason.

Brady expressed regret about how the roast affected his children, even though they were not the subject of any jokes. His ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, was the target of jokes about their relationship, which may have been uncomfortable for their children, Benjamin and Vivian. Brady acknowledged that going through the experience made him reflect on how it affected his loved ones and how he can be a better parent moving forward. He mentioned that he enjoyed being the subject of jokes during the roast, as it helped him find humor in challenging situations.

Despite his regret, Brady saw the roast as a learning experience and hopes it will make him a better parent in the future. He mentioned that participating in the roast allowed him to see a different side of himself and those around him, which could ultimately benefit his parenting skills. Brady emphasized the importance of finding humor in difficult situations and believes that laughter can help alleviate tension and bring people together. He expressed gratitude for everyone who participated in the roast and hopes they had a great time.

Following the roast, Brady will be shifting his focus to Fox, where he will serve as the lead color analyst for NFL games for the 2024 season and beyond. In 2022, Brady signed a 10-year, $375 million deal with Fox, which will officially commence this year. Despite the awkward moment and feelings of regret from the roast, Brady remains committed to his new role at Fox and is looking forward to bringing his expertise and insights to NFL fans. Brady’s experience at the roast has taught him valuable lessons that he can apply to various aspects of his life, including his career in broadcasting and his role as a parent.
