Connections is a brain-teaser game where players are given 16 words and asked to put them into four groups that are somehow connected. The game editor uses words that can fit into more than one group to trick players. The groups are coded by color, with yellow being the easiest and purple being the toughest. Players must carefully analyze the words and think about related terms to successfully group them. Sometimes, the connection between words may only involve a part of the word.

To play Connections, players must mentally assign the 16 words to related groups of four and click on the four words they believe go together. The groups are color-coded, but players do not know which color corresponds to which group until they see the answers. Today’s hints for the Connections puzzle include groupings related to jokes, cuts of beef, acronyms, and cocktails minus place names. The game is challenging as winning is hard, even though playing is easy.

The yellow group in today’s Connections puzzle involves playfully poking fun at something, with words like kid, needle, rib, and tease being grouped together. The green group focuses on cuts of beef, with words like chuck, flank, loin, and round being connected. The blue group features acronyms, including words like MIA, OMG, PIN, and RAM. The purple group revolves around cocktails minus place names, with words like libre, mama, mule, and sling being grouped together.

In addition to Connections, players can also try out Wordle, which is more of a vocabulary test compared to Connections being a brainteaser. The game provides daily answers and hints for Wordle, along with tips for Strands, a new game from the New York Times that is still in beta testing. Players looking for a challenge can engage with these word games and test their skills in word association and vocabulary knowledge. With different levels of difficulty and unique themes, these games offer a fun way to exercise the mind and enhance cognitive abilities.
