NBC is gearing up for the fall 2024 season with three new primetime series, including drama Brilliant Minds and comedies St. Denis Medical and Happy’s Place with Reba McEntire. These changes will impact four nights of the week, with Monday featuring drama Beautiful Minds at 10 p.m. ET following The Voice. Meanwhile, Tuesday will see new series St. Denis Medical debut, followed by returning Night Court, The Voice, and The Irrational. Found will replace Law & Order: Organized Crime on Wednesday nights at 10 p.m., and Reba McEntire’s Happy’s Place will debut on Fridays alongside surprise returnee Lopez vs. Lopez.

Midseason offerings on NBC will include the procedural drama The Hunting Party, non-scripted series The Americas, and competition show Destination X. Additionally, the sophomore competition series Deal or No Deal Island will also be featured during the midseason. However, no specific time slots have been announced yet for these new shows. While Sunday Night Football is expected to attract viewers, other veteran shows such as The Voice, Law & Order, and Chicago Med, Fire, and PD are seen as consistent performers. However, NBC’s comedy offerings continue to be lacking, leaving questions about potential audience growth next season.

NBC’s fall 2024 primetime line-up includes returning favorites like The Voice, Chicago Med, Fire, and PD, Law & Order, and Law & Order: SVU. Monday nights will feature Brilliant Minds at 10 p.m., following a two-hour block of The Voice. Meanwhile, Tuesday nights will showcase St. Denis Medical, a mockumentary about an underfunded hospital, followed by Night Court, The Voice, and The Irrational. Wednesday nights will continue the Chicago drama theme, with Found moving into the 10 p.m. time slot, while Thursday will feature Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU. Reba McEntire’s Happy’s Place will anchor NBC’s Friday night line-up, along with Lopez vs. Lopez and Dateline.

Happy’s Place will follow the story of Bobbi (Reba McEntire) inheriting her father’s bar and discovering a new business partner in her half-sister. The show will also feature Belissa Escobedo, Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk, and Rex Linn. Other midseason dramas and non-scripted series like The Hunting Party and The Americas aim to offer viewers a diverse range of content. The Americas, narrated and produced by Tom Hanks, will showcase the wonders of Earth’s largest landmass, while Destination X will challenge contestants to navigate unknown locations.

Overall, NBC’s fall 2024 line-up promises a mix of new and returning shows across different genres, including drama, comedy, and non-scripted series. While the network hopes to attract viewers with high-profile stars like Reba McEntire and innovative concepts like Destination X, the success of these new shows remains to be seen. With strong performers like Sunday Night Football and veteran series like The Voice and Chicago Med, NBC aims to maintain its audience base while also exploring new avenues for growth. Ultimately, the network’s future success will hinge on the reception of its fall line-up and the ability to adapt to changing viewer preferences.
