Halloween is a time for spooky, scary, creepy, and crawly movies, but what about a despicable flick? Peacock has chosen a villain-friendly streaming date for the release of Despicable Me 4, the latest film in the franchise featuring Gru and the Minions. In this sequel, Gru must face the revenge-seeking Maxime Le Mal and goes on the run with his family, which includes his three adoptive daughters, his wife, and his baby son, Gru Jr. The star-studded cast includes voices such as Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove, and many more. Viewers in the US can start watching the family comedy as early as 6 a.m. ET/3 a.m. PT on Thursday, October 31 on Peacock, which also carries the first two Despicable Me films.

Peacock raised its prices over the summer and now starts at $8 a month or $80 a year for the ad-supported Peacock Premium. For $14 a month or $140 a year, viewers can opt for the Premium Plus option, which offers fewer ads, the ability to download titles, and stream live local NBC stations. If viewers don’t have Peacock, they can rent the latest Despicable Me movie on platforms like Amazon or Fandango at Home (formerly Vudu) for $6. Additionally, those looking for a discount can consider paying for a year of Peacock upfront, which is often less expensive than paying monthly. College students may also be eligible for 12 months of discounted Premium.

If viewers are traveling abroad and want to stream Peacock from anywhere in the world, they can use a VPN to change their location virtually on their devices. A VPN also encrypts traffic to prevent internet service providers from throttling speeds and adds an extra layer of privacy when connecting to Wi-Fi networks. NordVPN, Surfshark, and ExpressVPN are among the recommended VPN providers. ExpressVPN is currently available for $8.32 per month if purchasing a 12-month subscription. Make sure to choose a country where Despicable Me 4 is streaming on Peacock before opening the app and ensuring that the VPN is connected to the selected region.

When streaming with a VPN, viewers should check that they are properly logged in and connected to their VPN account on each device. If there are any issues with streaming, make sure the VPN is running on the encrypted IP address, follow installation instructions correctly, and select the correct geographical area for viewing. If connection problems persist, try rebooting the device by closing all apps and windows, restarting, and connecting to the VPN. Some streaming services may restrict VPN access, so it’s essential to follow all guidelines and ensure a seamless viewing experience. Overall, Peacock offers a convenient way to watch Despicable Me 4, providing entertainment for the whole family this Halloween season.
