Seattle-based startup Osyte recently raised $4 million in a seed round to support the growth of its software, designed for investors managing multi-asset portfolios. The fintech company offers tools for portfolio monitoring, risk analytics, rebalance optimization, and more, with the goal of streamlining and automating investment operations. Osyte is targeting various types of investment managers, including outsourced chief investment officers, multi-family offices, single family offices, and institutional limited partners. Its customers manage investments across liquid and illiquid assets in both public and private markets.

The company’s co-founder and CEO, Charles Anselm, brings a decade of experience from Russell Investments, where he oversaw billions in institutional capital for various types of investors. Anselm aims to improve upon the cumbersome and manual processes he observed in his previous roles related to investment allocation decisions. Osyte’s current focus is on liquidity management automation for alternatives and private market investments, aiming to address the challenges faced by investors in these areas. The company is benefiting from the increasing democratization of private markets, providing individuals with greater access to private assets.

Co-founder Sellappa Gopalaswamy, who previously founded cloud companies Qloudable and Sysgain, brings valuable experience to the team. The seed round was led by Folsom, Calif.-based venture firm Moneta Ventures, with participation from Six Thirty Ventures, Altari Ventures, Tacoma Venture Fund, and Sigmas Group Family Office. As a result of the funding, Ashu Bhalla, partner at Moneta Ventures, will be joining Osyte’s board. This investment will help Osyte further develop and enhance its software, providing its growing customer base with innovative tools and solutions for managing multi-asset portfolios.

With the backing of various venture firms, Osyte is well-positioned to expand its reach and offer its software to a wider range of investment professionals. The company’s focus on automating investment operations and providing tools for portfolio monitoring and risk analytics addresses a key need in the market. By targeting outsourced chief investment officers, family offices, and institutional limited partners, Osyte has identified a niche in the industry that is looking for more efficient and effective ways to manage multi-asset portfolios across different markets and asset classes.

The leadership team at Osyte, with their backgrounds in finance, technology, and entrepreneurship, brings a unique combination of skills and expertise to drive the company’s growth. By leveraging their experience and understanding of the challenges faced by investors, Osyte is well-equipped to deliver value to its customers and help them achieve their investment goals. The successful seed round and the involvement of key investors will enable Osyte to accelerate its product development and expand its market presence, solidifying its position as a leading provider of software solutions for investment professionals managing multi-asset portfolios.
