SoundGTM is a new Seattle startup founded by tech veterans Jenn Steele and Kevin Boehm. The company has announced the public availability of its marketplace platform, which aims to help B2B companies enhance their sales strategies. The platform operates as a referral marketplace connecting businesses with experienced go-to-market professionals. Companies pay an annual fee to SoundGTM to post offers on the platform and get matched with a referral partner. If milestones are met, the company pays a fee, with 80% going to the partner and the rest to SoundGTM as its cut, working on a pay-for-success model. Steele mentioned that companies can define success based on their individual needs, incentivizing actions such as webinars attended, leads becoming qualified, or closed/won deals.

SoundGTM has raised $325,000 and has a few beta customers. Steele, who previously served as CEO at Kissmetrics, has a background in marketing and analytics. She has also held executive roles at various other companies and worked for HubSpot and Amazon. Boehm, the co-founder of SoundGTM, was most recently the CEO of GlobaliD, a privacy startup, and has worked at ORSNN. He spent over five years at Amazon in senior product manager roles. The company, which currently has three full-time employees, was part of the WTIA’s Founder Cohort program and the MIT alumni accelerator.

The marketplace platform offered by SoundGTM is designed to help B2B companies find experienced salespeople to supercharge their sales strategy. Instead of traditional affiliate or partnership programs, companies can use SoundGTM to connect with go-to-market professionals who can help them achieve their sales goals. Companies pay a fee to SoundGTM, post offers on the platform, get matched with a referral partner, and establish milestones to define success. Once these milestones are met, the company pays a fee, with the majority going to the partner.

Steele mentioned that SoundGTM will also help recruit salespeople for companies if they are unable to find matches on the platform. With a focus on a pay-for-success model, SoundGTM allows companies to define success based on their specific needs. This can range from webinars attended to qualified leads or closed deals. With a background in various tech companies and experience in sales and marketing, Steele and Boehm bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to SoundGTM. The company aims to provide a unique marketplace platform that empowers B2B companies to enhance their sales strategies and achieve their business goals effectively.

As a startup, SoundGTM has raised $325,000 in funding and already has a few beta customers on board. The company has been recognized for its innovative approach to B2B sales through its marketplace platform. With a strong focus on connecting businesses with experienced sales professionals, SoundGTM offers a unique solution to help companies supercharge their sales strategies and drive business growth. With a team of three full-time employees and support from programs like the WTIA’s Founder Cohort and the MIT alumni accelerator, SoundGTM is well-positioned to make a significant impact in the B2B sales space.
