Reverend Franklin Graham of Samaritan’s Purse surprised Israel’s emergency services system with a pledge to donate 20 more ambulances during a ceremony dedicating two armored ambulances in memory of three American-Israelis killed by Hamas. The unveiling of the ambulances for Magen David Adom, the emergency services system, was a tribute to the lives lost in the conflict. Graham, president of Samaritan’s Purse, highlighted the urgent need for ambulances in Israel and committed to providing additional support to MDA, recognizing the team as heroes who save lives every day.

In addition to Thursday’s pledge, Samaritan’s Purse has donated a total of 42 ambulances to Israel since the war with Hamas began. Graham’s visit also included the dedication of a new ambulance center near the Gaza border, where an MDA station was constructed to improve emergency response times for Israeli paramedics. The organization is also working on another MDA station on the northern border of Israel to further support emergency services in the region. The collaboration between Samaritan’s Purse and MDA reflects a shared commitment to saving lives and serving communities affected by conflict and disaster.

During the ceremony for the new MDA station in Avshalom, which borders Gaza, Graham laid the cornerstone as a symbol of hope and solidarity. The director general of MDA expressed gratitude for Graham’s generosity and support, recognizing him as an important ally to both the organization and the state of Israel. The construction of the new station is seen as a bridge between past tragedies and a more hopeful future, demonstrating the impact of humanitarian efforts in rebuilding communities and providing essential services to those in need.

Samaritan’s Purse previously donated 14 ambulances to MDA in response to the destruction caused by Hamas forces during the October 2023 attack. The commitment to providing life-saving vehicles and establishing new emergency stations underscores the organization’s dedication to humanitarian aid worldwide. MDA director general Eli Bin praised Graham and Samaritan’s Purse for their ongoing support, emphasizing the immense impact of their contributions in improving emergency response capabilities and saving lives. The people of Israel are grateful for the generosity and compassion displayed by Graham and his organization in times of crisis.

Eli Bin, MDA’s director general, expressed mixed emotions of hope and despair while emphasizing the importance of Graham’s support in strengthening emergency response capabilities in Israel. The dedication of additional ambulances and the construction of new MDA stations have been instrumental in enhancing the organization’s capacity to save lives and provide critical care in times of crisis. Samaritan’s Purse’s commitment to serving communities affected by war, disease, disaster, and poverty reflects the organization’s mission to support those in need around the world. The collaborative efforts between Samaritan’s Purse and MDA highlight the power of humanitarian aid in promoting healing, resilience, and hope in the face of adversity.
