Sam Heughan and his Outlander costars finally attended Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert on June 8. Heughan expressed his excitement on Instagram, thanking Taylor Swift for the incredible evening’s entertainment. The Outlander crew, including Catriona Balfe, John Hunter Bell, Sophie Skelton, and Lauren Lyle, enjoyed the concert from a VIP tent, with Heughan sharing footage from the event. Heughan wore a black jacket and DIY friendship bracelets inspired by Swift’s songs.
During the concert, Heughan drew a comparison between the show and Jamie and Clare’s onscreen life in Outlander. He shared a video of Swift performing “Willow” with a theme song from Outlander instead of the live performance sound. Swift surprised the Outlander cast with mash-ups of her songs, including “The Bolter” with “Getaway Car” and a piano rendition of “All the Girls You Loved Before” and “Crazier,” a song she recorded for Hannah Montana the Movie.
Before attending the Eras concert, Heughan teased the event on Instagram, joking that Swift would fall for him with his ginger wig. Swift has been dating Travis Kelce since summer 2023, with their romance starting after Kelce attended his first Eras concert in Kansas City. Swift and Kelce took their relationship public in September 2023, with Kelce attending international Eras shows to support Swift in between his football commitments.
Swift shared in her 2023 TIME Person of the Year profile that she and Kelce had a significant amount of time to get to know each other privately before going public with their relationship. Kelce initially put Swift on blast on his podcast, and the two started hanging out shortly after. Swift began attending Kansas City Chiefs games to support Kelce, whilst Kelce attended multiple Eras shows to support Swift. The couple’s relationship has been well-received by their fans and the public.
