Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani has accused WABC radio of firing him from his daily show in order to appease President Biden and to create a hostile work environment. Giuliani criticized station owner John Catsimatidis for preventing him from discussing the “stolen” 2020 presidential election, claiming that this violated his right to free speech. Giuliani also accused Catsimatidis of stopping him from speaking out just as another election theft may be looming.

Catsimatidis, however, stated that Giuliani had been warned not to discuss the election conspiracy and had disregarded the company-wide policy. Giuliani argued that he had not been informed of any such policy and that discussing the election had always been a significant part of his show. He alleged that Catsimatidis fired him in an attempt to align with the Democrats and to avoid interference in the upcoming 2024 election. Giuliani also criticized President Biden, whom he referred to as a “trailer trash little creep” who is now President of the United States.

Giuliani also revealed that his co-host, Dr. Maria Ryan, was also fired from WABC and encouraged her to sue the station for creating a hostile work environment. He did not provide specific details but suggested that women in general were treated poorly in the workplace. This incident compounds financial troubles for Giuliani, as he faces high legal bills to defend criminal cases in Arizona and Georgia related to the 2020 election, as well as civil cases from voting machine firms Dominion and Smartmatic and a former associate who accused him of sexual assault.

Giuliani, a former federal prosecutor, also had his law license suspended in New York City due to his “utter disregard for facts” which led to a panel denigrating the legal profession. This means that working as a lawyer is no longer an option for Giuliani, further exacerbating his financial challenges. The loss of his $15,000 per month salary from WABC adds to the financial difficulties he is currently facing. Despite these setbacks, Giuliani continues to speak out on his “America’s Mayor Live” show, criticizing the actions of station owner John Catsimatidis and accusing the station of curbing his right to free speech.

While Giuliani’s firing from WABC has sparked controversy, it is just one of several challenges he is currently facing. From legal battles to financial struggles, Giuliani’s reputation and livelihood have been impacted by the fallout from the 2020 election and his involvement in attempts to overturn the results. As Giuliani navigates these challenges, he continues to be a polarizing figure in American politics, drawing both support and criticism for his actions and statements. Ultimately, Giuliani’s firing from WABC only adds to the complexity of his current situation and the obstacles he must overcome in the future.
