Shakira kicked off her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour on Tuesday, February 11, in Rio De Janeiro. After taking the stage in Brazil, Shakira was scheduled to perform on Sunday and Monday, February 17, in Peru.
Days before beginning her tour, Shakira received the award for Best Latin Pop Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards for her album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran. (Shakira beat out fellow nominees Anitta’s Funk Generation, Luis Fonsi’s El Viaje, Kany García’s GARCÍA and Kali Uchis’ ORQUÍDEAS.)
“This is incredible, thank you so much,” Shakira said while accepting the award and blowing a kiss at the audience.
Shakira, who also performed at the awards ceremony, ended her speech by giving a sweet shout-out to her kids. (Shakira shares Milan, 12, and Sasha, 10, with ex Gerard Piqué. The pair confirmed their split in a joint statement in 2022 after 12 years together.)

“I want to share this award with my kids, Milan and Sasha, who are here with me. I’m so proud of you guys and your kind hearts. Thank you so much for supporting me the way you do. I love you.”
One day later, Shakira reflected on the win in a social media post.
“Thank you for this Best Latin Pop Album, I had so much fun with this performance!” Shakira wrote on February 3. “To be surrounded by so many great artists and friends in one of the best Grammy editions of all time was a dream. Can’t wait to see you in May on my tour #LMYNLWorldTour in the US! #GRAMMYs.”
