For Romeo Miller, working on the Lifetime Christmas movie, We Three Kings, helped him process the grief of his late sister, Tytyana Miller.
“That film is — not to give too much away, but it’s unlike any holiday film,” the rapper, 35, exclusively told Us Weekly at the It’s a Wonderful Lifetime event in Los Angeles on Tuesday, November 19. “I’m not saying that because I’m in it, but the story’s really deep. It deals with grief.”
Tytyana died in May 2022 at age 29 following a series of struggles with substance abuse and mental illness, Romeo and Tytyana’s father Master P announced at the time. In addition to Tytyana and Romeo, Master P, 54, is also the father of sons Veno, 33, Hercy, 22, and Mercy, 19, and daughters Inty, 31, Cymphonique, 28, and Itali, 23. The rapper also raised his nephew, Vercy, 33, following his brother’s death.
“I lost my little sister two years ago. Tytyana Miller, rest in peace. I love you. But it helped navigate and helped guide me through how to deal with grief,” Romeo explained on Tuesday. “Because everybody in the family deals with it differently and it’s hard to have those conversations sometimes.”

In addition to Romeo, We Three Kings also stars BeBe Winans, Lisa Berry, Jaime M. Callica, Bethany Brown, Faith Wright and Hamza Fouad. The holiday film follows the three King sisters — played by Berry, Brown and Wright — as they return home for Christmas for the first time since their mother’s death.

“I think this film is going to be a great guide just for families,” Romeo said of the holiday flick. “It’s entertaining, but you’re also getting that family therapy at the same time.”
In addition to We Three Kings, Romeo is also starring in the BET holiday movie Brewster’s Millions: Christmas. He stars in the film alongside China Anne McClain, Tequan Richmond, Sierra McClain and Rain Pryor. Brewster’s Millions: Christmas follows Chia Anne’s character Morgan Brewster who is going to inherit her uncle Montgomery’s fortune before the holidays.

This year, Romeo plans on spending the holidays with his two daughters, River Rose, 2, and Winter Snoh, 20 months, whom he welcomed with fiancée Drew Sangster. He shared that he already has plans with his little ones to go “holiday shopping” and pick out their Christmas tree.

“I love just being a new dad. The one thing I learned when I had my two daughters was you could either become the part or pretend to be the part,” he told Us. “And I want to make sure that I’m becoming the part and I’m just excited to just eat cookies with them and watch holiday films.”
We Three Kings premieres on Lifetime on Saturday, November 30, at 8 p.m. ET.
