Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner are really not here for Jacob Elordi’s beard.
The “Giggly Squad” podcast hosts didn’t hold back while discussing the actor’s grown-out facial hair during the Tuesday, December 4, episode. “Men obviously have been doing horrible things for the last centuries,” Berner, 33, said. “Jacob Elordi was the last one.”
“I’m so glad you’re bringing this up,” DeSorbo, 32, replied. “Typically, I’m into facial hair because a lot of men are ugly.” She continued, claiming that a beard makes unattractive men better-looking by “three points.”
“If you’re an ugly man, you get a beard,” Berner said in agreement. “When you’re Jacob f—ing Elordi, and you have a jawline and you have a je ne sais quoi to your face, when you get a beard, you then go down to just a bearded man and you lose the magic.” She quipped: “When you have a jawline, do not get a big beard.”
While Berner — and many fans — are less than enthusiastic about Elordi’s new beard, Berner did admit that she respects the fact that he grew it out for a part in a movie. “When guys do something for a role, I’m OK with it because it’s for work.”
Although it’s not confirmed what role Elordi, 27, grew his facial hair out for, fans guessed that it might be for Euphoria season 3, which will begin filming in January 2025 with a leap from when season 2 ended in February 2022. One social media user wrote via X: “That time jump in Euphoria has got to be a 20-year reunion.”
Elordi debuted his controversial scruff last week at a screening of The Order in Marrakech, Morocco. While a number of fans instantly took to social media and begged him to shave, others were into his new beard, writing via X, “IDC what anyone says: Jacob Elordi looks 10x better with a beard.” A second agreed, “I think Jacob Elordi looks hot with the beard.”
