Anything is paws-ible!

An Alabama woman was reunited with her lost dog after months apart when fate struck and the pooch was returned to the animal shelter where her owner works.

Cheyenne Campbell was working at Second Chance Shelter on Feb. 7 when a nervous 3-year-old pup that had just arrived at the Boaz facility wagged its tail with delight when she entered the room.

Campbell burst into tears when she realized the excited canine — who ran straight into her arms and licked her face — was her missing dog Emma, the facility’s assistant manager told McClatchy News.

“Emma was behind the counter and when Cheyenne started talking, Emma went crazy wagging her tail and jumping,” Second Chance Shelter said in an emotional Facebook post.

“Can you believe it. It was Cheyenne’s dog that had went missing 5 months ago.”

Emma disappeared in September after she was let outside to use the bathroom – leading her devastated owners on a never-ending search that eventually led them to believe they’d never see their beloved dog again.

But their luck changed when a good Samaritan – who lived just 10 miles away from the Campbell home – found Emma and tried for months to find her family to no avail, the shelter said.

“She finally brought Emma to the shelter,” the Feb. 12 post continued.

“We are all so happy that she was found and nothing bad happened to her before she was rescued and reunited with her family. It was surely fat that brought Emma to the shelter where her mama works.”
