Levanta, a Seattle startup that connects sellers on Amazon’s marketplace with influencers and creators, raised $20 million in a Series A round led by Boston-based Volition Capital.

Founded in 2023, Levanta lets Amazon sellers create their own affiliate programs, recruit creators, generate revenue reports, and make affiliate commission payments.

The startup is riding tailwinds from a growing influencer economy as brands look to social media creators with large followings to sell more products. Affiliate marketing spend continues to rise as well, and is expected to reach an estimated $15.8 billion in the U.S. by 2028.

Levanta is one of many companies that serve Amazon third-party sellers, which account for more than half of the retail giant’s total sales. Brands that sell on Amazon such as Dude Wipes, HexClad, and Caraway use Levanta, which helps online retailers vet creators and publishers.

Levanta is led by CEO Ian Brodie, CTO Spencer McKenney, and Chief Marketplace Officer Rob Schab. The University of Washington grads co-founded Levanta and previously led Grovia.io, which grew to 26 employees and exited to Acceleration Partners, a larger affiliate services company, in 2022.

Other backers include Long Run Capital, OpenSky Ventures, and Arrived Homes CEO Ryan Frazier.
