Amazon is introducing new and improved Echo Show smart displays, going bigger than ever on the devices that can be used use as a home organization hub in the kitchen or elsewhere.
The company announced the release Wednesday of the Echo Show 21 ($399), a 21-inch device that nearly doubles the field of view from the original Echo Show 15. With 1080p resolution, it has 65% more zoom capability than the original.
The Echo Show 15 ($299) has also been upgraded.
Both devices promise improved audio quality, which Amazon says can deliver “immersive sound, double the bass, and room adaption technology.” They also feature built-in Fire TV and are Alexa enabled.
Amazon touts the displays as ideal smart home hubs for controlling a range of devices such as lights and switches. They can also manage household organization with widgets for to-do and shopping lists, calendars and more. And both Echo Shows are equipped with Wi-Fi 6E, to make Fire TV video and music streaming smoother.
Both displays ship with wall-mounting equipment. A counter stand is also available for $99.
