Two people were killed and another two seriously injured in a horrific overnight crash on Long Island that ended with their car upside down and completely mangled.

The dead and injured — none of whom were identified — were all in the same vehicle that crashed around 11 p.m. Sunday on the Southern State Parkway near Exit 29 in North Massapequa, the New York State Police said.

Photos of the wreckage show the car totaled and flipped upside-down near a wrong-way sign.

The two survivors were seriously injured and are being treated at an area hospital.

Eastbound lanes were shut down from Exit 29 to Exit 30 after the incident and were reopened by police around 5:30 a.m. Monday.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
