Dancing With the Stars is celebrating its 500th episode by having the season 33 cast recreate some of the most memorable dances from over the years. The duos will pay tribute to past stars such as Riker Lynch, Kellie Pickler, and Jordan Fisher while putting their own twist on the classic performances. In addition to their regular routines, the celebs and pros will compete in an “Instant Dance Challenge” where they won’t know their dance style or song until five minutes before the live challenge. The night will begin with an opening number set to Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s “Crazy in Love,” choreographed by married ballroom pros Pasha Pashkov and Daniella Karagach, the same song that opened the show’s first episode back in 2005.

The 500th episode will also feature appearances from familiar faces who have yet to be revealed. The remaining season 33 contestants will perform various routines during the celebration, including Danny Amendola and Witney Carson’s version of a quickstep from season 5, Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson’s contemporary routine from season 20, Dwight Howard and Daniella Karagach’s Argentine tango from season 23, Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong’s Argentine tango from season 16, Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten’s quickstep from season 25, and Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold’s Viennese waltz from season 31.

The Super Bowl champion Danny Amendola and his partner will recreate Hélio Castroneves and Julianne Hough’s quickstep, while Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson will perform a contemporary routine originally done by Riker Lynch and Allison Holker. Dwight Howard and Daniella Karagach will channel James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess for their Argentine tango, Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong will tackle Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough’s Argentine tango, Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten will put their own spin on Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold’s quickstep, and Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold will take on a Viennese waltz previously performed by Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas.

The 500th episode celebration of Dancing With the Stars is set to be an exciting event with the season 33 cast paying homage to past stars and iconic performances. The night will also include an “Instant Dance Challenge” where the pairs will have to quickly adapt to a dance style and song they are given only five minutes before the live challenge. With appearances from familiar faces and performances of classic routines, fans can expect a memorable and entertaining evening as the show commemorates its milestone episode. Dancing With the Stars returns on ABC and Disney+ on Tuesday, November 12, at 8 p.m. ET.
