Two true crime YouTubers recently sought out an abandoned property near the Oklahoma-Kansas border in search of Veronica Butler and Jilian Kelley, two missing women from Hugoton, Kansas. The women were last seen in late March heading to pick up children before their car was found abandoned in Oklahoma, with suspicions of foul play. The YouTubers, identified as Kari Moody and another individual who chose to remain anonymous, stated that they are determined to find answers and are willing to search for Butler and Kelley as long as they can afford. They mentioned a well on the property that they searched, emphasizing the need to explore all potential hiding places.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has declined to comment on the property search, stating that they will release more information as it becomes available. Authorities continue to urge anyone with information about the missing women to come forward. Hunter McKee, the public information manager for the OSBI, expressed that as time passes, it becomes increasingly challenging to locate the women alive. Despite suspicions of foul play, investigators remain hopeful that Butler and Kelley are still alive and are continuing their search efforts in the area. The Texas County Sheriff’s Office has issued a missing persons advisory that provides descriptions of the women and the vehicle they were last seen in.

Veronica Butler is described as having several tattoos, including a Chinese symbol on her left forearm and a sunflower on her left shoulder. She is 5 feet, 4 inches tall with red hair and green eyes and was last seen wearing a blue short-sleeve shirt and denim shorts. Jilian Kelley has a butterfly tattoo on her left forearm, brown hair, and blue eyes, and was last seen wearing a long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and tan or beige shoes. The vehicle they were traveling in was found abandoned near Highway 95 and Road L, south of Elkhart, Kansas, in rural Texas County. Authorities are urging the public to come forward with any information that could help in locating Butler and Kelley.

The YouTubers emphasized the urgency of finding answers for the missing women, stating that they want answers “like yesterday.” They discussed their determination to continue searching the area and exploring all possibilities, including the abandoned property with the well. Despite the challenges posed by the passage of time, investigators remain committed to locating Butler and Kelley. The missing persons advisory issued provides detailed descriptions of the women and their tattoos, as well as the vehicle they were last seen in, in hopes that this information will lead to valuable tips from the public. Authorities continue to encourage anyone with information to come forward to assist in the search efforts.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has indicated that no arrests have been made in connection with the disappearance of Butler and Kelley. The public information manager, Hunter McKee, has stated that they are still actively searching for the women and are asking for the community’s assistance in providing any relevant information. As the investigation continues, the focus remains on locating the missing women and determining their whereabouts. Despite suspicions of foul play, investigators remain hopeful that Butler and Kelley will be found alive and are working diligently to follow up on any leads or tips that may help in the search efforts.
