The war in Ukraine escalated as Russia attacked the city of Dnipro, causing extensive damage to homes and injuring several people. Ukrainian air defences shot down a Russian strike, but debris from the missiles damaged civilian infrastructure, including a school. The Kremlin continued its shelling on Kherson, damaging 16 settlements and 15 buildings in residential neighborhoods.
