Paris Saint-Germain may have indirectly confirmed Kylian Mbappe’s imminent departure from the club, as social media users have noticed. The French striker has been with PSG for almost seven years, joining as a teenager in 2017 from Monaco. Mbappe has since become one of the biggest stars in the sport, catching the eye of Real Madrid multiple times. In 2022, he came close to joining the Spanish giants but ultimately decided to stay with PSG, signing a two-year contract with an optional third year. However, his contract is set to expire on June 30, and Mbappe has reportedly informed PSG that he will not be renewing.

Although it is widely expected that Mbappe will join Real Madrid, no official announcement has been made yet. Reports suggest that there is some disagreement between the player and his new club on when the move should be made public. Mbappe’s mother reportedly wants him to wait until after the end of the French club’s season to avoid upsetting PSG’s fans. Madrid, on the other hand, may want to announce the transfer after potentially winning their 15th Champions League title.

With PSG recently being knocked out of the Champions League by Dortmund, it seems that Mbappe may now be free to make his move to Madrid public. The club released a promotional video for their new home kit for the upcoming season, with Mbappe conspicuously absent from the clip. Instead, other players like Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, and Warren Zaire-Emery were featured, indicating that PSG may be preparing to move forward without their all-time top scorer.

While nothing has been confirmed yet, all signs point towards Mbappe leaving PSG and joining Real Madrid. The French forward is set to become the next Galactico for President Florentino Perez. The two clubs may still be ironing out details on when to announce the transfer officially, but with Mbappe’s contract set to expire soon, an announcement could be imminent. Fans will be eagerly awaiting confirmation of Mbappe’s departure and his next chapter with Real Madrid.
