OKX officially launched its crypto trading platform and Web3 wallet in the Netherlands, allowing users to buy and sell over 150 cryptocurrencies, including many paired with Euros. Users can also deposit and withdraw Euros using iDEAL or SEPA transfers, and access spot trading, convert, and earn services. The platform is available in Dutch for a smooth user experience. OKX Europe General Manager Erald Ghoos stated that the launch is a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to the country, with a focus on user-friendly features, low fees, and easy Euro transactions.

The launch in the Netherlands follows recent regional developments, including Okcoin Europe rebranding to OKX and Ghoos being appointed to lead European operations. OKX decided to stop offering trading pairs with USDT stablecoin for European users earlier this year, in order to focus on providing more trading options with Euros. Additionally, OKX, along with other exchanges, withdrew from Hong Kong’s licensing process due to a regulatory rule restricting crypto exchanges from serving mainland Chinese users. Despite attempts to fight the restriction, OKX found it tough to comply with and ultimately exited the process.

The OKX platform in the Netherlands was built with a dedicated local team and incorporating user feedback, aiming to provide a seamless experience for Dutch users. The platform offers spot trading, convert and earn services, with support for over 150 cryptocurrencies and 60 crypto-Euro pairs. Users can execute deposits and withdrawals using iDEAL or SEPA transfers. Ghoos emphasized the company’s focus on user-friendly features and low fees in order to make the trading experience convenient for users in the Netherlands.
