The Hockey Hall of Fame announced its class of 2024, which includes NHL legends Jeremy Roenick, Shea Weber, Pavel Datsyuk, Natalie Darwitz, Krissy Wendell-Pohl, David Poile, and Colin Campbell. Roenick, known for his goal-scoring prowess, finished his 20-year NHL career as the second-highest American-born goal-scorer in history. Weber, a defenseman with a booming slapshot, scored 224 goals in over 1,000 games for the Predators and Canadiens. Datsyuk, a former KHL player who joined the Red Wings, contributed significantly to the team’s success during his 14 seasons and won four Lady Byng trophies.

Both Darwitz and Wendell-Pohl became the first U.S.-born women’s players to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Wendell-Pohl represented Team USA in 147 games and won six IIHF World Championships, including the United States’ first gold medal in 2005. Darwitz, who led the Minnesota Golden Gophers to an NCAA championship, also competed internationally at multiple Olympic Games.
