Shovels are finally in the ground for the new library in Saskatoon after facing delays. Despite the Frances Morrison Central Library being sold off with a possession date set for December 2026, the SPL announced that they would not be moving out due to the delays, in accordance with the sale agreement. Efforts were made to work closely with the architect, general contractor, and engineer to reduce construction costs while maintaining the original vision and cultural integrity of the building in a financially prudent manner.
