Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have settled in Montecito in their $14.5 million mansion, along with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. However, their neighborhood is facing issues due to the increasing popularity of the nearby Montecito Hot Springs, including gridlock parking, litter, and campfires. Josh Molina highlighted these problems in his podcast, Santa Barbara Talks, and warned of the potential fire hazards in the dry surroundings. He also questioned the legality of the “pools” created with rocks in the springs.

Despite the growing issues in their neighborhood, the Sussexes seem content with their current residence. Meghan shared in an interview that they fell in love with the house instantly, finding it healing and calming. Their expansive estate with acres of private land offers plenty of parking for visiting friends and family. The couple have allowed filming inside their home for their Netflix series, giving fans a glimpse of their stunning abode with sweeping driveways, vast gardens, and luxurious interiors, including a swimming pool.

While Prince Harry and Meghan lead a private life away from the cameras, they run their business, Archewell Foundation, from their home. Their office space reflects their impeccable style, with Meghan sharing a video on her 40th birthday showing her rustic wooden desk, cream dining chairs, and an adorable dog snoozing in the background. Their former UK home, Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, has remained empty since their departure in 2023. The Grade II Crown Estate property underwent extensive renovations before the royal couple moved in and has historical significance, as it was the site of their wedding celebrations in May 2018.

The future occupants of Frogmore Cottage remain uncertain, as palace officials stated during the annual Sovereign Grant briefing that the property currently sits empty. The cottage was originally five separate properties for estate workers before being converted into a five-bedroom home with multimillion-pound renovations. Situated in front of a picturesque lake and nearby Frogmore House, the property holds special memories for Prince Harry and Meghan, who hosted their wedding reception there. With no new tenants in sight, the beautiful UK home stands as a reminder of their past while the Sussexes embrace their new American lifestyle in Montecito.
