Netflix viewers around the world are flocking to watch the critically-acclaimed crime comedy Hit Man, starring Glen Powell and Adria Arjona. The film tells the mostly true story of Gary Johnson, a college instructor who moonlights as a fake hit man for the New Orleans Police Department. Thanks to his clever disguises and engaging personality, Gary is able to successfully convince criminals to hand over envelopes full of cash, which helps the NOPD in busting the perpetrators.

In a surprising turn of events, Gary decides to abandon a sting operation involving Maddy Masters, a housewife looking to hire a hit man to take out her controlling husband. Instead, he persuades Maddy to use the money to divorce her husband and start anew. However, their interactions lead to a romance, complicating matters as Gary is unable to reveal his true identity to Maddy. This secrecy puts them both in danger as their relationship deepens.

Released on June 7, Hit Man quickly gained popularity, attracting 10.8 million views and topping the Netflix Top 10 Movies chart during the week of June 3-9.
