Perdue Foods LLC is recalling over 167,000 pounds of frozen, ready-to-eat chicken breast nugget and tender products that may be contaminated with metal. The recall was initiated after consumers complained of metal wire embedded in the chicken. The impacted products have an establishment number of “P-33944” visible on the back of the packaging and were produced on March 23. The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is concerned that the recalled chicken may be in customers’ freezers and advises against consuming it. Consumers are urged to either throw away the product or return it to the original place of purchase.
