After being left without a ride due to a failed sponsorship deal, Matt DiBenedetto has found a new opportunity with Viking Motorsports in the Xfinity Series. Signing on for a partial schedule at the beginning of the season, DiBenedetto has now committed to racing full time for the rest of the Xfinity Series season. The No. 38 Ford is prepared by RSS Racing out of their Georgia race shop, with Don Sackett in charge of bringing the drivers to the track. DiBenedetto expressed his excitement for the future with Viking Motorsports, stating that he is looking forward to what they can achieve together on the track.

He had a successful run with the team, winning at Talladega in 2022 and qualifying for the playoffs in 2023. However, after failing to advance past the second round of the playoffs, DiBenedetto was unexpectedly cut from the team. Despite this setback, DiBenedetto remained determined and focused on finding a new opportunity to continue his racing career. His signing with Viking Motorsports marks a fresh start for the talented racer, who is eager to make the most of this new opportunity.
