Task Force Expedition (TFE) is a nonprofit organization focused on raising funds and awareness for handpicked nonprofits supporting America’s military heroes and first responders. Their inaugural expedition will take place from June 27 to July 8, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. The event is completely funded by industry sponsors, with the funds raised being distributed equally among selected nonprofits that support military first responders. Each sponsor is paired with a nonprofit organization that forms a team, competing to raise the most funds through public donations. The goal of the expedition is to support and raise awareness of the important work these nonprofits do.

One of the participants in the expedition is U.S. Army veteran George Fraser, who served in the military for 32 years, primarily in Special Operations. He received four Purple Hearts during his service and will be representing Special Operations Wounded Warriors (SOWW) during the climb. Another participant, Michael O’Dell, is a Marine and dad from Texas who supports fellow warriors battling addiction and Post-Traumatic Stress. He will be climbing to benefit the Frontline Healing Foundation, which supports programs addressing the unmet needs of suffering servicemen and women and enables healing and recovery.

The goal of Task Force Expedition is to raise both funds and awareness for nonprofits that support military first responders. By documenting the Kilimanjaro adventure with Prelude Films, the organization aims to shed light on the important work being done by these nonprofits. The expedition participants are divided into teams representing different nonprofits, each competing to raise the most funds through public donations. The funds raised will be equally distributed among the selected nonprofits, helping them continue their vital work supporting America’s military heroes.

The expedition to Mount Kilimanjaro will focus on supporting organizations that assist warriors in need through various programs and activities. Task Force Expedition’s mission is to provide a once-in-a-lifetime adventure while also raising funds for these nonprofits. By partnering with industry sponsors, the organization is able to fund and organize these expeditions to show support for the military first responders who have sacrificed so much for their country. Through this initiative, Task Force Expedition hopes to make a positive impact on the lives of those who have served in the armed forces.

Through their planned ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro, the participants in the expedition will raise funds for organizations such as the Frontline Healing Foundation, Special Operations Wounded Warriors, and other nonprofits supporting military first responders. The climbers each have personal connections to the cause, driven by a desire to give back and support their fellow warriors. By joining forces with industry sponsors, Task Force Expedition is able to organize these expeditions and raise the necessary funds to support the important work being done by these nonprofits. The climb will also be an opportunity to document the journey and share the stories of the participants and the organizations they represent.
