During her performance at Coachella, Lana Del Rey had several special guests join her on stage including Jack Antonoff, Jon Batiste, and a surprise appearance by Billie Eilish. The duo of Lana Del Rey and Billie Eilish performed a duet of Eilish’s “Ocean Eyes” and Del Rey’s “Video Games,” both representing breakout hits in their careers. Del Rey praised Eilish as the voice of their generation and expressed gratitude for her presence on stage.

Jon Batiste also made an appearance with Del Rey as they performed their collaborative song “Candy Necklace” from Del Rey’s album “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd.” The song was nominated for a Grammy award for best pop duo/group performance in 2024. Batiste played piano while Del Rey sang and they exchanged vocal lines towards the end of the performance.

Following Eilish’s appearance, Del Rey was joined by Jack Antonoff for a rendition of “Hope Is a Dangerous Thing for a Woman Like Me — but I Have It.” Antonoff played piano while Del Rey appeared as an oversized hologram for that part of the performance. The song is from Del Rey’s album “Normal F—ing Rockwell” released in 2019.

Del Rey’s setlist at Coachella included some live rarities such as the opening song “Without You,” which fans noted had not been performed since 2014. She also performed a cover of Sublime’s “Doin’ Time,” which she had not done since 2019. This performance of “Doin’ Time” could have been a nod to the fact that a contemporary iteration of Sublime was also scheduled to perform at Coachella.

The collaboration between Lana Del Rey and Billie Eilish was a highlight of the Coachella performance, with Del Rey praising Eilish as the voice of their generation. The performances with Jon Batiste and Jack Antonoff showcased the chemistry and creativity between Del Rey and her collaborators. This memorable performance at Coachella featured a mix of hits and rarities from Del Rey’s discography, making it a must-see for fans of both artists.
