President-elect Donald J. Trump has chosen former U.S. Sen. Kelly Loeffler of Georgia to lead his inaugural committee, which will plan events to celebrate his victory in the 2024 election. Loeffler will co-chair the committee alongside New York real estate investor Steve Witkoff. Trump expressed his gratitude to the millions of Americans who supported his “America First” agenda and promised that his administration would deliver on bold promises to Make America Great Again. The Trump Vance Inaugural Committee will mark the beginning of his presidency with a celebration of the American people and the nation’s history and tradition.

The appointment of Loeffler comes after Trump’s surprising victory in Georgia against Vice President Harris, securing 16 electoral votes. Loeffler, who served as a senator in 2020 before losing a special election to Democrat Raphael Warnock in 2021, has been a staunch ally of the former president. Despite facing accusations of insider trading in 2020, the Department of Justice dropped its investigation into Loeffler. Since leaving office, Loeffler has remained active in conservative politics and has been vocal in her support for Trump. She has criticized figures like Mark Cuban for claiming that Trump did not surround himself with strong women and launched ad campaigns targeting Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis for her perceived failures.

In September, Loeffler’s conservative advocacy group, the Greater Georgia 501(c)(4), launched a six-figure ad campaign to highlight what they saw as the failures of District Attorney Fani Willis. The ad claimed that crimes such as murders, rapes, and burglaries were on the rise under Willis’ watch and accused her of prioritizing her political ambitions over the safety of the community. Loeffler has been outspoken in her support for Trump and has called for new leadership that does not hate conservative women like herself. The decision to appoint Loeffler to lead the inaugural committee reflects Trump’s continued ties to key figures in the Republican Party, despite facing criticism and legal challenges in the aftermath of the 2024 election.

Loeffler’s involvement in planning the inaugural events for Trump’s presidency signals a continuation of their alliance and shared commitment to advancing conservative values and policies. By appointing Loeffler to co-chair the committee alongside Witkoff, Trump is highlighting the importance of celebrating his victory and uniting Americans around a vision of restoring strength, success, and common sense to the Oval Office. The committee’s work will set the stage for Trump’s administration to deliver on its promises to the American people and work towards building a better future for the country. As the nation prepares for the transition of power, the Trump Vance Inaugural Committee will play a key role in marking this historic moment in American history.
