In order to qualify for the free domestic flights, travelers must book both an international and a domestic flight with Japan Airlines in the same reservation. Passengers from the US, Canada, Mexico, and China may incur a stopover fee if they stay in their first destination for more than 24 hours before continuing on. Currently, the offer is only available to travelers from select countries, but will gradually open up to more countries throughout September. Japan Airlines also plans to expand the list of eligible countries later on.
The promotion not only provides travelers with free domestic flights, but also includes a generous baggage allowance for economy class passengers. Those purchasing a Japan Airlines domestic flight fare from outside of Japan can check in up to two pieces of luggage weighing up to 23 kg each.
