The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have claimed to have killed another Hezbollah commander responsible for recent attacks in Northern Israel. The IDF stated that they struck and killed terrorist Farouk Amin Alasi, the Hezbollah commander of the Khiam area. Alasi was responsible for carrying out multiple anti-tank missile and rocket attacks towards Israeli communities, particularly in the Galilee Panhandle area. In addition to Alasi, the IDF also killed terrorist Yousef Ahmad Nun, a Radwan Forces company commander in the Khiam area. This comes after the IDF claimed to have eliminated two other Hezbollah commanders who were responsible for more than 400 strikes against Israel in October. IDF troops continue operational activities in southern Lebanon, targeting Radwan Forces and other Hezbollah terrorists in aerial strikes and close-quarters combat, as well as locating large amounts of Hezbollah weaponry.

The IDF has been conducting targeted raids against Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, with the troops operating against Hezbollah’s infrastructure, locating weapons, and eliminating terrorists in cooperation with the Israel Air Force. In the Gaza Strip, IDF soldiers continue to conduct operational activities in the Jabaliya area, where numerous terrorists have been eliminated through aerial and ground operations. In Rafah and central Gaza, the troops are working to eliminate terrorists, dismantle terror infrastructure, and locate weapons.

Following a deadly attack by Hezbollah forces in northern Israel, the IDF launched a counterattack targeting Hezbollah militants in both Lebanon and Gaza. The first attack in Metula left an Israeli farmer and four foreign agricultural workers dead, while a second reported attack near Haifa resulted in two additional fatalities. The IDF has been actively responding to these attacks by conducting limited, localized, targeted raids against Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon and in the Gaza Strip.

In response to the brutal Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attack at Kibbutz Nir Oz, the IAF struck and killed Raafat Ibrahim Mahmoud Akdeih, a Nukhba terrorist who had infiltrated the kibbutz. Akdeih had served as an aide to the commander of Islamic Jihad Nukhba forces in the Khan Yunis Brigade during the conflict. The IDF has continued to eliminate terrorist cells in the central and southern Gaza Strip and has located substantial amounts of weaponry. The IDF’s “Kfir” Brigade has also begun operations in the Jabaliya area, aiding in the elimination of a terrorist cell posing a threat to troops in the region.

Overall, the IDF has been actively engaged in targeting and eliminating Hezbollah commanders and terrorists responsible for various attacks against Israel. Operationally, the IDF troops have been carrying out targeted raids, aerial strikes, and ground operations in both southern Lebanon and the Gaza Strip to eliminate threats and dismantle terrorist infrastructure. The recent string of attacks initiated by Hezbollah forces has prompted a swift and strong response from the IDF, with a focus on maintaining the safety and security of Israeli communities in the region.
