Music fans who are not able to attend this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in person can still experience the event from afar through live streaming on YouTube. The festival will be live-streamed during both weekends, with a different stream for each stage. This will be the first Coachella festival to take place since YouTube launched its multiview experience feature, allowing fans to watch up to four streams at once on a single TV screen while choosing the audio they want to listen to. Additionally, Coachella merchandise for some of the artists set to perform will be available online via YouTube Shopping.

In addition to the live streaming of performances, fans can purchase outfits and other merchandise in the popular game Fortnite, which is partnering with Coachella for the second year in a row. Players can visit the new in-game Sahara Island location to mimic the Coachella experience. Furthermore, fans can also enjoy new music from several artists scheduled to perform at Coachella, including the deluxe edition of Doja Cat’s album “Scarlet,” Sabrina Carpenter’s upcoming single “Espresso,” and Vampire Weekend’s new album “Only God Was Above Us.” These new releases coincide with the artists’ sets at the festival.

The lineup for Coachella 2024 includes headliners Lana Del Rey, Tyler, the Creator, and Doja Cat, along with other notable artists such as Peso Pluma, Lil Uzi Vert, Sabrina Carpenter, J Balvin, Lil Yachty, and Vampire Weekend. No Doubt will also reunite for their first performance in nearly a decade. Surprisingly, tickets for this year’s Coachella took longer to sell than in previous years. The first weekend took about a month to sell out, while tickets for the second weekend have still not sold out, with many available for resale online below face value.

One thing to watch for at Coachella 2024 will be the standout moments that become the talk of social media. Past festivals have produced controversial moments, such as Frank Ocean’s headlining set last year, which was marred by logistical issues, lipsyncing, and other problems. Ocean eventually dropped out of the second weekend, and Blink-182 took over headlining duties. It will be interesting to see what memorable moments this year’s festival will produce. For more information about Coachella 2024, readers can refer to articles from publications such as the Los Angeles Times and Rolling Stone, which provide additional insights and updates on the festival.
