Houston Dash goalkeeper Jane Campbell has signed a four-year contract extension that will keep her with the club until the 2027 season, with an option for the 2028 season. Campbell, who was the No. 15 overall pick in the 2017 NWSL Draft, has played her entire professional career with the Dash. She expressed her gratitude to her teammates, past and present, for their support in making her the player she is today. Campbell also praised the organization’s evolution since 2017 and expressed her commitment to executing their vision for the team on and off the field.

As the 2023 NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year, Campbell made Dash history by helping the team concede the least amount of goals in their club history, with only 18 goals allowed in 22 games. Throughout her eight-year NWSL career, Campbell has accumulated over 14,000 minutes on the field, made 162 starts, and recorded 492 saves. She has also achieved five clean sheets in the current season and leads the league in all-time saves with 64 saves. Dash General Manager Alex Singer praised Campbell’s work ethic, professional approach, and commitment to both her own development and that of the club, highlighting her as a crucial leader on the field.

In her most recent game against Angel City FC, Campbell managed to prevent a penalty kick from reaching the back of the net, securing her 35th clean sheet in Dash history. Despite her individual success, the Dash are currently ranked No. 11 in the NWSL standings with a record of 3-6-4 (wins, losses, draws). The team is set to face San Diego Wave FC in their first matchup of the season before embarking on a two-game stretch on the road. Campbell’s extension signifies the Dash’s commitment to her as a key player and leader within the team, with the confidence that she will continue to guide the club to success for years to come.
