The Israel Defense Forces and Israel Security Agency have successfully rescued another hostage taken during the Oct. 7 terrorist attack. Qaid Farhan Alkadi from Rahat was brought back to his family in Israel following a daring rescue operation deep inside the Gaza Strip. Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant commended the IDF for their courageous actions and emphasized Israel’s commitment to bringing all hostages home safely. The rescue was carried out by a mixed company of Israeli combatants, including members of various military divisions and special operations units.

Alkadi, 52, had been held in the Gaza Strip for almost a year before being rescued. The details of the operation have not been disclosed to protect the safety of the hostages, security forces, and national security interests. Alkadi is currently receiving medical care and undergoing health checks in the hospital, where he is reported to be in stable condition. His family has been notified of his recovery and will soon be reunited with him with the assistance of IDF personnel.

Despite this successful rescue, there are still 108 Israeli hostages being held by terrorists in the Gaza Strip, with 36 confirmed dead. Most of these hostages were taken during the Oct. 7 attack and have been in captivity for over 320 days. The Israeli government remains committed to bringing all hostages home and will continue to take advantage of every opportunity to do so. The rescue of Alkadi is a significant step towards achieving this goal and demonstrates the determination of the IDF and security forces to protect Israeli citizens.

The rescue of Qaid Farhan Alkadi is part of a series of actions taken by the IDF to combat terrorism and secure the safe return of hostages. The successful operation was made possible through the efforts of various military units, including the 401st Brigade, 162nd Division, Shayetet 13, engineering combat spec-ops unit Yahalom, and intelligence operatives from the Israel Security Agency. The collaboration of these forces highlights the coordination and skill of the Israeli military in carrying out complex rescue missions.

The government of Israel has expressed gratitude for the successful rescue of Alkadi and is overjoyed at his safe return to his family. The operation signifies a major victory in the ongoing fight against terrorism and proves Israel’s unwavering commitment to protecting its citizens. The rescued hostage’s recovery and reunification with his family serve as a beacon of hope for the remaining hostages and their loved ones, as Israel continues to work tirelessly to bring them home. The Israeli people stand united in supporting the efforts of the IDF and security forces in ensuring the safety and security of all citizens.
