General Motors has exceeded expectations in terms of profits this year, despite facing challenges such as increased labor costs resulting from union contracts and higher interest rates for car purchases. The company’s electric vehicles have yet to turn a profit, but GM anticipates that its North American EV business will become profitable in the second half of the year.
