The collaboration between Gap and Cult Gaia has resulted in a 35-piece collection of women’s apparel that combines the durability and bestselling essentials of Gap with the artful designs of Cult Gaia. Cult Gaia founder Jasmin Hekmat describes the collection as a beautiful intersection of two worlds that most wouldn’t think go together. She grew up wearing Gap and sees this collaboration as a full-circle moment to put Cult Gaia’s twist on nostalgic pieces. The collection focuses on fabrication, hardware, stitching, and pieces that feel special yet practical, bringing Hekmat’s nuanced approach to a wider audience.

Hekmat aimed to bridge the gap between the iconic brands, merging Cult Gaia’s artful designs with Gap’s classic American aesthetic. The pieces in the collection offer a new take on classic designs, familiar but reimagined in a way that only Cult Gaia can deliver. High-rise jeans feature chain details, trench coats have cargo pockets, and pants are made in the brand’s signature chocolate brown leather. The collection also includes a range of items such as a crisp white button-up with the back cut out, a cropped cable knit cardigan, draped blouses with sculptural hardware, denim split midi skirts, and a fluffy faux fur coat ideal for city winters.

The collaboration between Gap and Cult Gaia offers a further amalgamation of the two brands, combining elements of both to create unique and eye-catching pieces. The collection includes a variety of items that cater to a wide range of customers, offering a mix of classic designs reimagined in a contemporary way. The campaign for the collection was shot and directed by sisters Louise and Maria Thornfeldt, starring model and actress Tina Kunakey, alongside other diverse models.

All 35 items in the collection will range in price from $35 to $500 and will be available to shop on October 10th at 12 p.m. ET / 9 a.m. PT on gap.com and at select Gap stores. This collaboration allows fans of both brands to experience a new take on everyday essentials, combining the wearability of Gap with Cult Gaia’s unique design approach. The pieces in the collection are created to be functional enough for everyday wear while still maintaining an element of artistry and creativity.

Overall, the partnership between Gap and Cult Gaia represents a meeting of minds, bringing together two brands with different but complementary styles. Hekmat’s vision for the collection was to create pieces that spoke to a wide range of customers and offered a fresh perspective on classic designs. By merging Gap’s core day-to-day wardrobe staples with Cult Gaia’s signature artful designs, the collaboration provides a unique and innovative take on women’s fashion. Fans of both brands can look forward to exploring this exciting collection and adding some truly special pieces to their wardrobes.
