Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s friend, Nadiya Vizier, revealed in a recent interview that Gypsy locked herself in her bathroom in Louisiana while her estranged husband, Ryan Anderson, banged on the door late at night. Vizier alleged that Anderson screamed to be let in, causing Gypsy to fear for her safety. Gypsy called a relative to pick her up and also called her lawyer for help, as she was afraid Anderson was going to hit her.
After the incident, Gypsy reportedly left Anderson and traveled to her father’s house in Cut Off, Louisiana. News of their separation broke on March 29, after less than two years of marriage. Gypsy was released from prison in December 2023 after serving time for the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. Dee Dee had abused Gypsy, leading her to plead guilty to second-degree murder. Gypsy was granted parole in September 2023 before being released in December.
