Atlas Survival Shelters, a doomsday bunker company based in Dallas, Texas, has experienced an increase in clients due to heightened concerns about social unrest in the United States. Owner Ron Hubbard noted that almost half of Americans believe the country could see a civil war. The company manufactures survival shelters designed to protect individuals from various threats such as pandemic outbreaks, civil unrest, nuclear fallout, and EMP attacks. A recent Marist National Poll found that 13% of Americans feel a civil war is “very likely,” with an additional 34% saying it is “likely.”

Hubbard stated that business is booming, with bunkers ranging from $20,000 to over a million dollars. The average bunker sold by the company costs around half a million dollars and typically features nine rooms. Hubbard emphasized that the interiors of their bunkers resemble luxury accommodations, catering to high-end clients who want to feel comfortable and secure in times of crisis. Some of Atlas Survival Shelters’ notable clients include Kim and Khloé Kardashian, as well as Mr. Beast. The company also has a factory in Poland to cater to European clients.

In addition to selling bunkers, Atlas Survival Shelters aims to educate people about preparedness for emergencies. Hubbard noted that they have a significant following on social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, where they share information about survival strategies and products. The company has also been advocating for the construction of hardened rooms within homes, inspired by the practices in countries like Israel where individuals convert small rooms into secure spaces with advanced safety features. This approach can protect occupants from various threats, including natural disasters and civil unrest.

Hubbard highlighted the interest from clients in the Middle East, particularly in countries like the United Arab Emirates, where there is a growing demand for secure living spaces in high-rise buildings. He shared the idea of turning a single room in a house into a reinforced space with a gas door and air filtration system to enhance safety. The company’s bunkers have been popular among affluent individuals who seek both security and comfort during uncertain times. Hubbard’s vision for Atlas Survival Shelters goes beyond selling bunkers; he aims to promote a culture of preparedness and resilience among the public, emphasizing the importance of being ready for various emergencies that may arise.
