Former first son Barron Trump was initially reported to be making his debut in the public spotlight as a delegate at the Republican National Convention but later declined to serve in that capacity. However, five other members of the Trump family have been selected to cast votes at the convention, including Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Tiffany Trump, and Michael Boulos. Barron and Tiffany Trump have largely stayed out of the public eye amid their father’s ongoing legal battles in New York, Atlanta, South Florida, and Washington, D.C. The family has recently relocated from New York City to Florida, with Donald Trump now considering Mar-a-Lago his primary residence.

Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, both executive vice presidents of the Trump Organization, were chosen as statewide “at-large” delegates for the convention by the Republican Party of Florida. Kimberly Guilfoyle, Trump Jr.’s fiancée, was also selected for the Florida delegation, along with Tiffany Trump and her husband, Michael Boulos. Most of the Trump family has made the move to Florida in recent years, with Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. based in Jupiter, just north of Mar-a-Lago. The former president has already surpassed the necessary delegate count to become the Republican Party’s presumptive nominee for the upcoming election.

As the Republican Party of Florida gears up for the convention, chairman Evan Power expressed confidence in the delegation, which includes grassroots leaders, elected officials, and members of the Trump family. Eric Trump will serve as the chairman of the Sunshine State delegation, with Guilfoyle acting as one of two commissioners on its platform committee. The party is focused on laying the groundwork for success in Florida and is optimistic about their chances in the upcoming election, with Power stating that they are prepared to win big in November. The party has also highlighted the diverse representation within their delegate selection, including members from various sectors of the Trump family.

Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, who suspended her presidential campaign in March, still retains a significant number of delegates from previous primary contests. Haley won approximately one-sixth of the votes in Pennsylvania’s closed primary on April 23, accumulating a total of 97 delegates. Other candidates who earned delegates before suspending their campaigns include Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, with nine delegates, and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, with three. Despite their suspensions, these candidates continue to have an impact on the overall delegate count and could play a role in future party decisions.

The Trump family’s involvement in the upcoming Republican National Convention highlights their ongoing influence within the party and their commitment to supporting Donald Trump’s campaign for re-election. While Barron Trump’s decision to decline serving as a delegate drew attention, the participation of other family members, including his siblings and their partners, underscores the family’s united front in working towards the party’s success in the upcoming election. The Republican Party of Florida’s selection of diverse delegates, including members of the Trump family, reflects their dedication to building a strong foundation for victory in November. With Eric Trump leading the delegation and Guilfoyle playing a significant role on the platform committee, the party is poised to make a strong showing at the convention and beyond.
