Season 21 of The Bachelorette ended with a broken engagement for Jenn Tran, leaving fans searching for the next love story. Season 20 couple Charity Lawson and Dotun Olubeko are now in the spotlight as the show’s reigning love story. Despite still going strong, the couple is not rushing down the aisle. Charity shared in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly that they have taken a pause on wedding planning. Feeling pressured to constantly make progress, she decided to slow down and prioritize easing back into normal life. Dotun, on the other hand, is excited about planning a fun reception, particularly focusing on the flavor of the wedding cake.

Charity and Dotun got engaged during season 20 of The Bachelorette, which aired in the summer of 2023. Following their engagement, Charity competed on Dancing With the Stars in the fall, a show known to strain some Bachelor Nation couples. As the new season of the dance competition includes other previous Bachelor couples, Charity shared advice to have fun and take care of oneself throughout the competition. She emphasized that while it can be emotionally and mentally challenging, it is essential to remember the opportunity being presented and not take it for granted. Kat, who also competed on Dancing With the Stars, expressed hopes that Jenn will use the show as motivation to prove her worth and capability after her recent split with Devin Strader.

As Joey, who got engaged on season 28 of The Bachelor, and Jenn prepare to take the ballroom, Charity offered words of support and advice for them. She assured Kelsey, Joey’s fiancée, that she can turn to Dotun for any assistance she may need. Charity reflected on her own experience during the competition, encouraging Kelsey to find moments to connect with Joey and be a supportive partner without reading too much into things. Both Charity and Kat emphasized the importance of maintaining communication and finding time for date nights despite busy schedules.

Kat shared how supportive Dotun was during Charity’s time on Dancing With the Stars, reaching out to everyone close to her, even creating a video for her finale. As Joey and Jenn prepare for their own dance competition, Charity and Kat are focusing on their new podcast “Tap In.” The podcast, launched by the two friends, is set to provide insight, advice, and personal stories on a variety of topics. As the Bachelor Nation continues to follow along with their favorite couples, the love stories and experiences of Charity, Dotun, Jenn, and Joey remain at the forefront of their journey on and off the screen.
