The Fire Country cast, including Billy Burke, Jordan Calloway, and Jules Latimer, are excited to begin filming season 3 and shared their dream storylines during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly. Burke expressed interest in seeing the characters relax and bond outside of tragedy, while Latimer looked forward to exploring character development and showcasing what happens when there are no major incidents. The cast is eager to see their characters evolve and grow in the upcoming season.

The CBS series follows inmate Bode, played by Max Thieriot, who volunteers for the California Conservation Camp Program in hopes of shortening his prison sentence. Bode reconnects with his family and friends in his hometown while attempting to redeem himself. In season 2, Bode is back in prison after taking the fall for drugs that were not his, while Jake, played by Calloway, becomes the new Cal Fire captain, and Latimer’s character Eve takes on a leadership role at Three Rock. Each character faces new challenges and opportunities for growth in the upcoming season.

Latimer expressed her desire for Eve to have more romantic interests and explore her personal life outside of work. She hopes to see Eve go on dates and have a romantic storyline while balancing her authority and responsibilities. Calloway also expressed interest in having Jake share more scenes with Eve to provide guidance and support, as well as pursuing his goal of becoming a Division Chief. The cast is excited to continue exploring the dynamic relationships between the characters in season 3.

Burke pitched the idea of a midlife crisis for his character Vince, adding another intriguing storyline to the mix. Before season 2 premiered, Burke shared insights into Vince and Sharon’s marriage as they navigated challenges related to Bode returning to prison. He emphasized the relatability of their marriage and the undying responsibility they have for each other and those around them, believing that viewers would continue to root for their relationship regardless of the obstacles they face. The cast is dedicated to portraying authentic and engaging relationships on the show.

As season 3 of Fire Country approaches, the cast is looking forward to delving deeper into their characters and exploring new storylines. Burke teased that the upcoming season will continue to surprise viewers and keep them engaged in the characters’ journeys. The show airs on CBS on Fridays at 9 p.m. ET, providing fans with an opportunity to follow along with the characters’ developments and the exciting new plot twists that are in store.
