Arielle Kebbel and Adam Demos star in Fox’s new series “Rescue: HI-Surf,” which is not a Baywatch reboot but offers an authentic look at the heroic lifeguards on the North Shore of O’ahu in Hawaii. The show depicts the intense lives of lifeguards as they save people’s lives in treacherous waters. Alex Aiono, who plays Kainalu, teased that viewers will get a glimpse of what it’s really like to work as a lifeguard, saving lives and protecting the ocean.

Kebbel plays Emily “Em” Wright, the first female lieutenant in ocean safety who is described as a maverick and primal lifeguard with a strong passion for her job. She works closely with Captain Sonny, played by Robbie Magasiva, and their professional yet loving dynamic adds depth to the show. Demos’ character, Will, is an Australian surfer turned lifeguard who struggles with personal conflicts while maintaining his dedication to saving lives.

Kekoa Kekumano portrays Laka, a local boy and proud lifeguard with deep roots in Hawaii. Zoe Cipres, who plays lifeguard Hina, shares that her favorite scenes involve jet ski rescues, which are both difficult and challenging, showcasing the danger and excitement of the lifeguard job.
